Bengaluru: The Special Commissioner for Traffic, MA Saleem, has revived t h e Sugama Sanchara (Citizen’s Traffic Forum) meeting, which had been irregular following the pandemic-induced lockdowns in Bengaluru.

The top official has now directed all 44 traffic police stations in the city to hold forum meetings every second Saturday, during which residents can walkin to their nearest traffic police stations between 11:30 a.m. and 1:20 p.m. and convey concerns and raise issues related to the traffic management in their areas, before the traffic officials.

MA Saleem had previously said that while the Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) are aware of many of the issues at major junctions and in their jurisdiction, the residents are better equipped to tell them about their traffic problems in byways. “The residents may also have valuable inputs and suggestions for easing traffic congestion on the main road,” he had said.
