Bengaluru: A 6-yearold boy died after he attempted to drive a tractor that was parked near Whitefield traffic police limits on Tuesday. The incident reportedly took place around 3 pm when the driver had parked his vehicle on Carmelaram Road behind a private school.
As it was raining, the driver forgot the keys to the tractor and left the place. After the rain stopped for a while, two youngsters, while playing, arrived at the spot and climbed into the vehicle. Noticing the keys, one of them turned on the engine, which made the vehicle move forward and fall into a ditch.
One of the boys was reportedly crushed under the trailer, while the other suffered minor injuries, sources said. The two were rushed to the nearby hospital, where the doctors declared the severely injured boy as ‘brought dead.’ A case has been registered regarding the incident at the jurisdictional traffic police station.
