NT Correspondent
Bengaluru: After reports of many cases pending in the Cybercrime police department in the city, Home Minister Araga Gyanendra issued a warning of strict action against cops who are negligent in investigating and detecting cyber related cases.
The minister also directed the cybercrime cops to keep a tab on those who make dangerous reels and post derogatory comments on social media.
Araga was answering the question asked by the opposition Congress member PR Ramesh in the Belagavi session on Monday. Ramesh said that filming private moments and sharing obscene videos has been rampant across the state and the cyber police have failed to act against them.
“The government has launched cybercrime police stations in the district and cities to help the victims of cyber fraud efficiently. If any police officer is found neglecting his duty, action will be taken against him”,the Home Minister said.
