Mysuru: Three leopard cubs were found in a sugarcane field in Katnavadi village in Chamarajanagar district late on Sunday.

According to information, the cubs were spotted when the owner of the field Guru engaged labourers for harvesting his standing sugarcane crop.

When the men began chopping the plants, the cubs came out in the open. The field owner informed the Forest department, which sent its staff to take possession of the cubs.

They installed a camera trap expecting the leopard to come to the spot in search of its cubs in the next day or two. The cubs are healthy and doing well, according to the department.
