Tax dues: BBMP shuts down Mantri Mall

Bengaluru: For the third time in three months, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) officials closed down Mantri Mall in Malleswaram for defaulting on property tax payment of `27.77 crore ( excluding interest) even after several notices. Revenue officials of BBMP showed up at the mall to seal it at around 10:30 am in the morning on Monday with Palike marshals sending back visitors.
