City mourns Pele
Growing up with my brothers, we were into football and supported the Brazil team, the older ones infectiously followed Pele and we would sit around and watch his matches and discuss strategies. Every time Brazil played in the FIFA World Cup, either of us would land up recalling the legend. Some spirit football is lost in the world today as one of the guardian angels of the sport leaves us. –Tanisha Reddy
I am a footballer and in order to better my game, I do extensive research on legendary players. I will forever be grateful to Pele for building an aspect of my game. I also had the chance to attend Brazil vs Cameroon this FIFA Season in Qatar and the vibe of the stadium was something different. Pele was everywhere and Brazilian fans prayed for his speedy recovery and cheered their team in high spirits. Unfortunately the demise of the legend is engraved in their hearts now and across parts of the world and I hope everyone recovers from this sudden loss. –Kartik Nigam
Ever since football came into my life, I cherished the game of players like Maradona and Pele; the two have been my idols. I am deeply hurt to know that a man like Pele had to suffer before crossing the rainbow bridge. I send my heartfelt condolences to his family and the nation of Brazil that is in mourning. –Vishal Vox
