Bengaluru: The BV Jagadeesh Scientific Centre in Bengaluru's Jayanagar 7th Block is hosting the science festival titled “Science in Action” till January 8, 2023, in association with the Jawahar Lal Nehru Planetarium.
The event's major objective is to take attendees on a trip filled with fascinating science exhibits and activities that will pique their interest and motivate them to learn more about science. The exhibition is a oneof-a-kind opportunity to interact with models of fundamental sciences, visit the graduate and undergraduate labs of National College, Jayanagar, and see contemporary robots.
The science exhibitions, dome planetarium performances, robotics labs, night stargazing, rocks and crystals of geological importance, humanoid robots, 3D printers, psychology studies, and many other highlights are featured in the event. After the opening ceremony of the exhibition, all the models and exhibits were set up for public viewing.
The B.V. Jagadeesh Science Centre was constructed by the NES of Karnataka at a cost of 1.5 cr as a part of the College campus. In today’s age of Information Technology (IT) and Biotechnology, the key goal of the exhibition is to popularise science and lure the young generation towards basic science. The Science Centre was established because it is firmly believed that no technology can exist without a solid foundation in the fundamentals.
The decline in B.Sc. enrollment shows that we are moving in the wrong direction, and the Science Center is an effort to draw students' focus back to the Basic Sciences, the organisers informed.
