Bengaluru: A youth, who was admitted to a private hospital in the city for a surgery, died a day after the procedure was conducted. The deceased was identified as Satish, 24, a resident of Dasarahalli in the city. Preliminary police investigation revealed that Satish was involved in a drunken brawl at a booze party with his friends, recently.

During the fight, glass pieces of a broken alcohol bottle pierced into his hands. He had lost a lot of blood due to the injury. Satish was reportedly admitted to Madhu Super Speciality Hospital on Monday. The family alleged that the doctors had suggested surgery and were paid a sum of Rs 50,000 for the procedure. However, after several hours of the procedure, Satish died at the hospital.

Alleging medical negligence, the parents have filed a case at KP Agrahara police station against the hospital and  the doctors. They alleged that the doctors had put a bandage on Satish's hand without conducting any surgery. Further investigation in the case is underway
