Brotherin-law of Cong chief DK, joins AAP

Bengaluru: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president DK Shivakumar’s brother-in-law CP Sarath Chandra joined Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday. He was welcomed to the party by AAP publicity and public relations committee Mukhyamantri Chandru and manifesto committee chairman Bhaskar Rao at AAP office in Malleshwaram.

Chandru said that the newly inducted member was very familiar with Channapattna town and surrounding areas and would strengthen the party in the region.

Rao said that Chandra had interesting political insight as he had campaigned in Bengaluru Rural for the best part of two decades and that his experience will come in handy for AAP. Chandra had also been the Vijaya Bank Employees Association vice president.
