Bengaluru: A delivery person from the grocery delivery application Blinkit was allegedly assaulted by a couple in Bengaluru for two missing items in their parcel list.

Angered over this, several gig workers protested in front of the Prestige Sunrise Park Norwood Apartments in Electronic city, where the couple reportedly resides. It was alleged that the couple had ordered over eight grocery items through the mobile application and had opted for the cash on delivery mode of payment.

The delivery boy identified as Viresh, reportedly arrived at the apartment around 8 am from Gollahalli to make the delivery and requested the couple to check if all the ordered items are available in the parcel on the spot.

The couple reportedly ignored the suggestion and rather said they would check the items inside their home. However as the executive was leaving the premises, the couple called him back and complained that two items were missing from the parcel, Viresh alleged. The infuriated couple allegedly assaulted him and even hit him with footwear
