Karnataka 'Kaushalya Mission' job fair in city

Bengaluru: As part of the Karnataka government's ambitious Kaushalya Mission, the department of skill development, entrepreneurship and livelihood (SDEL) will organise a job fair on February 5 near BGS college campus in Mahalakshmipuram here. The fair will be held from 10 am to 4 pm. More than 80 companies are said to participate in the event.

Eligible candidates with SSLC, PUC, Diploma, BCom, BBA, BA, BCA, BE, and other master's degrees can participate in the fair. Chief Minister's Kaushalya Kar nataka Yojane (CMKKY) envisages providing skill training to 5 lakh youth annually of which 2.50 lakh youth shall be targeted under schemes implemented directly by SDEL and 2.50 lakh youth shall be targeted under schemes implemented by other governments.
