Poster on kidney sale offer creates ripples

Bengaluru: An interesting poster that reads ‘left kidney on sale’ put up in Indiranagar has grabbed much attention on social media. While the reason behind the sale is said to be money, the poster continues to say “need money to fund the security deposit amount landlords are asking for.”

The poster then notes – “Just kidding, but I need a house in Indiranagar, scan for profile,” along with a QR code. The complaints over rising rent prices and ridiculous demands by homeowners have been a long-standing issue in silicon city.

The particular poster, however, has netizens chuckling. Ramyakh, a Twitter user, took to the social media site and posted the poster along with the caption – “Does this qualify for @peakbengaluru?”. A few internet users had cheery replies. “Saw this on LinkedIn and gawked. Then I felt bad for him. Then I felt like I should maybe ask him to be my roommate. Because then we could gawk at each other,” said a user.

While another user, Divyesh H, replied that bachelors have too many problems when it comes to renting a home. They face discrimination from societies depending on their food preferences and are assumed to maintain low levels of cleanliness. Along with this, he noted that places they manage to rent are often far off from their workplaces, leading to an increase in their travel time.
