According to the latest update on the matter, the vehicle was parked at the Puttenahalli Bus Depot on February 18 and the theft was noticed when the depot staffer noticed some fuel spilt on the ground.
He noticed a similar spill from another bus nearby while inspecting buses parked in the depot and informed the authorities. The average diesel capacity in these buses is 210 litres. A case has been registered with the BMTC staff at the Yelahanka New Town station and officials suspect that this crime could possibly involve a local gang.
