Not kidding! Man files complaint against wife for oversleeping

Bengaluru: The Basavanagudi police were in for a shock on Sunday when a person approached them and filed a complaint against his wife for oversleeping without doing any chores. In his complaint, the resident of the area, Kamran Khan alleged that his wife wakes up after noon and then again sleeps in the evening only to wake up at night and then goes to sleep again.

Khan further alleged that his wife does not take care of him or his parents and sleeps all day. Based on the complaint, the police have registered an FIR against Khan's wife, her parents and her brother-inlaw, Mohsin.

Sources from the police said that Khan claimed to be suffering from mental trauma due to the behaviour of his wife and her parents for the last five years. He said that whenever he would ask his wife to do chores, she would start an argument and go to her mother's house. He also alleged that her parents and brother-in-law had harassed him when he questioned them about her behaviour.

In the latest development, the police and victim on Monday came to know that the woman was allegedly suffering from health issues which her parents had hidden from Khan and his family during their wedding. Further investigation in the matter is underway, police sources added.
