Vishwanath slams Simha over expressway credit

Bengaluru: Rebel BJP MLC Vishwanath on Wednesday slammed party colleague and Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha for taking credit for the Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway, adding that the project was made possibly only because of the tax payers’ money.

“Hey Pratap, it isn’t your father’s money. It isn’t Modi’s father’s money either. It’s the tax money paid by ordinary people. This is what was used to build this project. No party contributed money to this. Understand that. It’s taxpayer’s money,” Vishwanath said, adding that BJP had made a show of taking credit for the expressway. “BJP acts like they contributed money from their own treasury. What is this? But they say look at us, we made this road,” he said.
