Woman cross with ‘gay’ hubby

A cheating and harassment complaint was filed with Kumaraswamy Layout police by a 25-yearold city-based woman against her husband and in-laws. In her complaint, the woman alleged that she was not informed about her husband's sexual orientation at the time of their marriage. The woman alleged that she got to know about it when the husband, Pranav, did not consummate the marriage and avoided being around the complainant on some or the other pretext.

"When she questioned her in-laws about hiding the fact about their son, they threatened her with dire consequences and asked her not to talk about it to anyone. The woman also alleged that her in-laws had demanded money from her husband's treatment," a police officer said.

The woman further alleged that she had once caught her husband wearing her lipstick and posing in front of a mirror. On being asked, her husband told that he likes only men, she alleged. The woman said that she got to know Pranav through a matrimonial website. He had claimed to be an M Tech holder and was employed in one of the biggest IT firms in the city.

With mutual consent of the families, they married in 2020. It is alleged that 800 grams of gold, 1 kg silver ornaments and Rs 5 lakh were presented as dowry to Pranav's family during the marriage. A case has been registered against Pranav, his father Murthy and mother Sridevi. Further investigation by the police is unNT Correspondent derway
