Fire at packaging unit

A fire broke out at a packaging unit of a private firm and its warehouse in Kamakshipalya here. While no casualties were reported, sources said machineries worth lakhs of rupees were destroyed in the incident. Fire at the warehouse and the manufacturing unit of Yogi Packaging Company, located in Vrishabhavathi Nagar, was first noticed during the wee hours of Sunday and the matter was immediately reported to the jurisdictional police and fire officials. It took three fire tenders to bring the fire under control. The warehouse was locked after the workers had left after work on Saturday
