Dispute over dog poop results in death of man

A man was beaten to death for questioning his neighbour’s act of allowing his dog to poop in front of his house in Soladevanahalli here. Police have identified the deceased as Muniraju, 68. Another person, Murali, who came to the rescue of Muniraju was injured in the thrashing. The jurisdictional police have arrested three persons identified as Pramod, Ravi Kumar and Pallavi, in connection with Muniraju's murder. It has been revealed that Pramod used to bring his dog near Muniraju's house during which the dog allegedly defecated near the gate of the elderly neighbour.

As Muniraju got into an ugly altercation with Pramod, the matter escalated and reached the police. The police took statements from both the parties and asked them to avoid a conflict. However, the next day, Pramod and Ravi Kumar again got into an argument with Muniraju over the same issue, following which the duo assaulted him with sticks. Muniraju died on the spot while Murali suffered injuries. I t i s a l l e g e d t h at Pramod's wife Pallavi was also involved in the assault. A case was filed with the police following which the accused were arrested.
