City Met centre predicts more rains
NT Correspondent
Bengaluru: The city got the much awaited respite from rising temperature on Friday as it experienced a spell of mild showers in the evening, providing a breather from the sultry heat.
The good news is that the Bengaluru Meteorological Centre has predicted likely rains and thundershowers in the city in the coming days, which is sure to bring down the temperature further. According to the weather forecast, the city is expected to receive 6.8 mm of rain, and the minimum temperature is predicted to drop to 21 degrees Celsius in the next 24 hours, with a partly cloudy sky.
Additionally, the Meteorological Centre has forecasted likely rains in several parts of the city for the weekend. While the rains have provided relief to the citizens, it has also resulted in waterlogging in many areas, leading to traffic congestion. Several bikers were seen taking shelter under metro paths, flyovers, bus stops, and other areas.
Unfortunately, many crowded areas of the city such as Hebbal, MG road, Shivaji Nagar, Halasuru, Indiranagar, Domlur, Koramangala, Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Nayandahalli, Chamarajpet, Malleshwara, Sadashivanagar, Yeshwanthpur, Kengeri, Basavanagudi, Jayanagar, J.P. Nagar, and Banashanki were waterlogged, making it difficult for people to move around.
