Two more schools receive bomb threat mails

Bengaluru: More than a year after multiple schools in the city received an email carrying a bomb threat, two more educational institutions received a similar email on Tuesday here.

Authorities at the Ebenezer International School in Hebbagodi, who were busy with the admission process for the upcoming academic year, were shocked after they received an email warning of ‘explosive devices planted in the building’ on the school’s official email address.

The police were informed and the school premises were immediately vacated and the building was shut. The Hebbagodi police, along with the dog squad, checked the entire school premises with metal detectors. Senior police officials also visited the spot.

Later it was found that a similar email was received by the Indian School on Bannerghatta Road in Bengaluru. Investigation is underway
