Sandalwood stars Vikram Ravichandran and Aditi Prabhudeva have entered the world of OTT. A new web-series starring the two Kannada actors, Love You Abhi, has hit the streaming world.

Season one of the web-series with seven episodes is now available on Jio Cinemas. The series is directed by Kali Velayudhan who is also its producer.

“Vikram plays the character Vikki Shiva while Aditi plays the role of Abhi. Though there is huge demand for Kannada content online, we have had very few original webseries produced. I saw this as an opportunity to bring well-known Kannada actors to the OTT platform,” the director said.

Along with the two stars, Velayudhan has also roped in well-known Kannada actors including Vinaya Prasad, Rachita Mahalakshmi, Ashok Sharma, Srinath, Ambike, Srinivas Murthy, Sundar Raj and others for this web series.

“Web series need not be all about newcomers. Experienced and seasoned actors can give it a whole new dimension. It adds variety and seriousness to the venture,” the Velayudhan said. Love You Abhi is a suspense thriller and not a romantic series as the title suggests.

“Audience expects much more form a web-series than in regular television serials. You are expected to stretch the plot thin in television serials. The web-series demands you to say more than what you do in films. Audience have grown accustomed to very high quality web series from around the world and we have to satisfy them,” he said.

The web-series has dialogues written by Abilash Gowda and GV Sathish, cinematography by Arun Brahma and editing by Pradeep Raghav. Velayudhan has already preparing for season two of the series as he is confident of the success of the debut series.
