Bengaluru: Karnataka’s Deputy Chief Minister and the Minister for Water Resources and Bengaluru Development, D K Shivakumar on Monday called on the BBMP officials, Bengaluru MLAs, MPs, and MLC Parishad members at Vidhana Soudha. He pulled on the BBMP officials to pace up the projects related to the city and fix the issues immediately.

“The BBMP officials have been directed to solve the problem of drinking water that the people of Bengaluru face. There should be a separate file for each ward in the city and the officials must have a record of photos of the projects they are working on. There should be photos of daily work. The Congress government is committed to bringing transparency in the system”, he said in the meeting.

He also asked the MLAs and MPs for their opinions on the development of Bengaluru. Citing the issues related to the development projects in the city, Shivakumar said the Congress government is committed to bringing back the glory and honor of Bengaluru.

“The meeting with all the MLAs, MPs, and BBMP officials was to get their ideas and comprehensively work on the development of the city”, DKS said. Highlighting that the officers and engineers in the BJP regime favored influential apartment owners on the construction of the road project Hoskerehalli, DKS directed the BBMP Commissioner Tushar Giri Nath to suspend all those involved.
