Full marks for quick response of Namma police to call on 112

Bengaluru: With the implementation of Namma 1 1 2 Emergency Response Support System, the city cops are even quicker to address a situation in the capital city.
A violent brawl between several men in Sanjayanagar Police Station limits in Bengaluru could have taken an ugly turn if a patrolling team had not arrived at the scene when it did on Sunday night.
Syed Hadi ( name changed on request), a local, who works for a private firm was returning home after his late-night shift, around 1:20 am, when he noticed the chaos at the Bellary Road-Sanjayanagar Main Road junction.
A group of men were fighting over a petty issue, which could have turned into a communal clash. Sensing trouble, Syed dialled 112 and alerted the police control room about the on-going fight.
"I was amazed when I spotted a Hoysala rushing to the spot within a matter of minutes after the call," the Good Samaritan told News Trail the next morning.
As soon as the police team arrived, the two gangs dispersed and went their way, leaving the spot deserted.
"I approached the police team and thanked them for their quick response. It gives you hope and strength knowing that help is just a call away," Syed added.
On Monday morning the man received a call from the PCR asking if his complaint was addressed. "A caller asked me how I would rate their service on a scale of 1 to 5. If I could, I would have gladly given extra marks to the police," Syed said.
