Allahabad HC says live-in relationship 'social problem'
Lucknow, NT Bureau: The Allahabad High Court's Lucknow bench expressed its view on live-in relationships, referring to them as a "social problem" that should be addressed through societal means rather than court intervention.
The court's statement came in response to an interfaith couple's plea for protection from alleged police harassment.
However, the court declined to provide protection, implying that the resolution of live-in relationship issues should rely on social measures instead of judicial interference.
