No adhesive can fix fighting BJP leaders: Minister MB Patil

Large & Medium Industries Minister M.B. Patil on Thursday ridiculed the BJP for growing groupism and said it has reached the ‘final stage.’

“There are more than 20 groups within the BJP led by former chief ministers B.S.Yediyurappa and Basavaraj Bommai, Vijayapura City MLA Basangouda Patil Yatnal, former minister Murgesh Nirani, for mer MLA M.P. Renukacharya, and BJP National General Secretary C.T.Ravi. And new ‘directors’ are emerging every day. No adhesive can fix the saffron party. On the other hand, Bommai is sitting on an empty chair without any power or authority”, Patil told reporters.

The minister said as promised, the Congress Government has fulfilled all five guarantees promised to the people before the Assembly election. The incumbent government took the bold decision of ordering an inquiry into all irregularities committed under the previous BJP Government and it would be taken to the logical end.

The unity in the Congress Government has become intolerable for BJP leaders due to which they are creating one issue or the other, he claimed. The BJP cheated the poor by playing politics over rice and people would teach them a lesson in the coming parliament elections, said Patil. Giving cash instead of rice is only a temporary measure till the state gets a sufficient quantity of rice to distribute to all needy people free of cost, he said.

Patil said till recently, Bommai and Ravi had demanded that the Congress Government must give cash to the beneficiaries if it cannot distribute rice. But now they have made a U-turn asking the government to give only rice and not cash. This shows the double standards of BJP leaders.

People are happy to get cash as a temporary measure as every member will be given Rs 170 per month. With that money, they can buy black millet, jowar, rice, pulses, or wheat depending upon their eating habits, he explained.
