Bengaluru: As the state government is set to table a budget for the 2023- 24 fiscal and will be holding various other programmes between July 3 and 14 here, the City Police Commissioner has issued an order to prohibit any gatherings and protests to be held in the city, except at the Freedom Park.

Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda said that, "It has come to my knowledge that several political parties and groups have decided to hold protests in the city during the upcoming budget session. The protests held in public places other than Freedom Park may lead to traffic congestion and other disturbances," he said.
