Man arrested for posting derogatory remark on Daivaradhane via fake ID

Bengaluru: On Saturday, a man named Shivaraj HK (37) from Amruthahalli in Bengaluru was arrested by the Mangaluru City police.

He was accused of using a fake Twitter account to post derogatory content about Daivaradhane and women.

The arrest was made based on a complaint filed by the Tulunadina Daivaradane Samrakshana Yuva Vedike at the CEN station in Mangaluru. The complaint alleged that an unknown person had posted offensive content related to Daivaradhane, along with explicit images of women.

The police registered a case against the accused under Section 67 of the IT Act, as well as IPC sections 153 (A) and 505 (2). The arrested man was then presented before the seventh JMFC Court in Mangaluru.
