Probe initiated after derogatory comment made against CM

Bengaluru: On Saturday, an FIR was filed at the T Narasipur Police Station in response to a complaint lodged against an individual who posted a derogatory comment about Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

The complainant, Ravikumar, initiated the police investigation, leading to the registration of a case under Sections 504, 505(1), and (B) of the Indian Penal Code.

The offensive comment was reportedly made by a user named rajee_hindoo on the popular social networking site Instagram.

The derogatory statement specifically targeted the CM regarding the killing of Venugopal, a Yuva Brigade activist from T Narasipur.
