Bengaluru: The Lalbagh Flower Show is one of the most popular annual events here, and preparations for its 2023 chapter are already underway.
The festival will be held from August 4 to 15 and this year it will feature a replica of the Vidhana Soudha. Over 10 lakh flowers have been grown for the purpose.
The Horticulture department of the state government is responsible for organising the festival, and has already started working on the preparations. The replica of Vidhana Soudha is being constructed inside the glass house with over 50 workers working round the clock.
The department has been planting flowers in the Lalbagh Botanical Garden since January, and has also been working on creating flower displays.
A replica of Shivapura Sathyagraha Soudha is also in the making that will require 3 million chrysanthemums, while the Vidhana Soudha copy will require 2 million chrysanthemums and 5.2 million roses.
The 12-day flower show will begin on August 4 and feature a 3.6 million flower representation of the Vidhana Soudha. The flowers will be replaced every six days so that visitors can see a fresh display throughout the festival. The flower arrangements are also a popular attraction at the festival, and they are often created by local florists.
The arrangements are often used to decorate the Lalbagh Botanical Garden.
The Lalbagh Flower Festival is a great opportunity to see some of the most beautiful flowers in the world, and it is also a great way to learn about different types of flowers. The festival is a free event, and it is open to everyone.
