Remark on Kharge: Mysuru Cong threatens to blacken Araga face
NT Correspondent
Mysuru: Mysuru Rural Congress Unit President Vijaykumar has threatened to blacken the face of former Home Minister and Tirthahalli BJP MLA Araga Jnanendra if he comes to Mysuru, for his remarks on AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge.
He said the Congress Party would start a ‘blacken Araga’s face’ campaign across the State and it would start from Mysuru City.
If the former home minister enters Mysuru, Congress workers would blacken Araga’s face as well as throw black paint on his car, he warned.
Vijaykumar said the BJP leader has insulted Kharge, one of the most senior leaders of the Congress Party, by making casteist remarks about him.
Such a statement cannot be tolerated and he must be taught a lesson, he said. The former home minister would have tendered an apology for his remarks on Kharge but it is not acceptable as it exposes the the mindset of the saffron party.
Already, a complaint has been lodged against Araga at Mysuru Police Station.
