Bengaluru: In a shocking incident the items that were seized from the I-Monetary Advisory and its group earlier, were found missing from the IMA building on Lady Curzon Road in the city.

According to sources, the seized items had been stored in the basement of IMA Gold office which was sealed by the Special officers and the jurisdictional police in Bengaluru.

Items worth Rs 10,000 such as UPS batteries, DLink server, cables, AC Unit copper wires were found to be stolen from the premises.

The matter had come to light on August 8 and the next day, a police complaint was filed by the Special Officer and competent authority for IMA cases, Krishna Udupa, the sources added.

The officials expressed concern over the theft of items despite security deployment at the building premises.

An officer from the Commercial Street Police Station said that the items might have been stolen between August 4 and August 8 after the perpetrators gained entry into the building through a ventilator in the washroom.

CCTV cameras installed at the premises are also being scanned for clues and to identify the perpetrators. In July 2021, medical equipment and furniture, air-coolers and batteries were stolen from the Frontline multi-speciality hospital, a health-care facility in Shivajinagar linked to the IMA Group.

Thousands of people from across the state lost lakhs of rupees after they were lured by the IMA Chief Mansoor Khan into investing in his company promising huge dividends.

The competent authority had previously said that they are facing tough challenges to trace Mansoor's assets and auction them in order to distribute the claims to the victims.
