Mandya: In a viral video, Uday, a first-year diploma student of a private college in Mandya district, wearing a face mask and holding a machete in his right hand, is seen allegedly threatening his lecturer Chandan as he complained about his behaviour to his parents.

The lecturer complained about the behaviour of Uday as he was not attending classes and also allegedly troubled other students.

In the thirty-second viral video, Uday is purportedly seen questioning the lecturer as a few other students remain mute spectators. The lecturer filed a case against the student and the Bellur Police Station officials took him into custody.

He was later released from custody after his parents made him apologise.
