IPS officer Hilori promoted, transferred

Bengaluru: The state government has issued an order promoting IPS officer Ajay Hilori as Deputy Inspector General of Police.

Following the order, Ajay Hilori has now been transferred as DIGP North East Zone. The officer was recently accused of abuse of power while probing the IMA ponzi scam case.

The CBI had registered a case in this regard. However, the High Court quashed the case on the background of acquittal in the departmental inquiry.

Now, Hilori has been promoted by the state government.
