ANPR cameras installed on Bengaluru to Belagavi Highway

Bengaluru: In order to reduce traffic violations, the Karnataka police have installed 72 Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras on the Bengaluru to Belagavi highway, ADGP Alok Kumar said on Thursday.

Additional Director General of Police, Traffic and Road Safety, Alok Kumar took to his X, previously Twitter, account to share a few pictures captured by the ANPR cameras installed on the highway.

"The cameras will help in monitoring and detecting visible traffic offences such as lane violations, driving in opposite directions, using mobile phone while driving, driving without seat belt/helmet and triple riding," Alok Kumar said.
