Bengaluru: Driving on the wrong side of National Highways may now result in imprisonment and the suspension of your driving license, as stated by ADGP Alok Kumar, responsible for Traffic and Road Safety.
The warning from the police officer followed a user's tweet showcasing a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction on the B'luru to Mysuru Highway.
The concerned user urged law enforcement to take action against the driver. Responding to the issue, Alok Kumar mentioned that the vehicle had been booked under section 184 of the IMV Act for dangerous driving.
He recommended suspending the driver's license, adding, "FIRs will be registered against individuals driving in the wrong direction on National Highways, and license suspension will be enforced."
