BMTC conductor accused of slapping minor

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: In a shocking revelation, a conductor from the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) is accused of slapping a minor.

The incident came to light after a post was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by a social activist forum called "Whitefield Rising" on Friday.

The post mentioned that three young children from Ramagondanahalli Government School had boarded the bus to go back home.

"All three paid for their tickets," the post began.

"However, only one child was issued a ticket. The other two were not provided with tickets. When one of the children asked for a ticket, the conductor demanded payment again. When the child refused, the conductor slapped him hard across his face."

What is even more surprising is that, after the child burst into tears, none of the passengers came to his aid. Netizens have expressed anger over this incident and demanded that BMTC take stern action against the accused bus conductor.

Later, BMTC on X responded to the post and assured an inquiry into the matter with the said conductor. They stated that disciplinary action would be initiated if the conductor is found guilty.
