18-year-old girl commits suicide over dance class denial

Kolar, NT Bureau: Upset over her parents not allowing her to go for dance classes, an eighteen year old girl committed suicide by hanging at her house at Chinnakote village in Bangarpet taluk on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Keerthana(18) daughter of a private company employee. According to Bangarpet police, the girl was doing her B.Com degreecourse at KC Reddy Degree College in Bangarpet and was attending dance classes for the past few months.

On Thursday as she was preparing to go to classes her parents reportedly asked her not to attend dance classes but she persisted and a verbal duel broke out.

Later in the night, the girl reportedly committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling of her house.
