No dearth of funds, Siddu tells BJP

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday rubbished the Opposition BJP’s claim that the guarantees were so expensive that funds weren’t available for infrastructure projects and other programmes.

“Only additional funds are not available. Rs 200 crores have been granted for land acquisition for Bhadra scheme. There is no shortage of funds for programmes and for guarantee schemes,” Siddaramaiah told mediapersons, responding to a question about some Congress MLAs reportedly complaining about not getting funds for infrastructure projects.

“It is the BJP which has ruined the state economy. We never took so much debt and there was no committed expenditure of this amount. They have ruined everything and now have this to say,” he added.
