Bengaluru: A woman has filed a police complaint against her husband for allegedly forcing her to spend private moments with his friends in the city. It was learnt that the couple has been married for over 16 years and have two children.
The allegation of harassment and physical torture was made by the woman recently. The victim in her complaint stated that she had taken her husband’s phone to make a call few days ago, and was shocked to find vulgar messages her husband had sent to his friends regarding her.
When she questioned about it, her husband threw into a rage and assaulted her for using his phone. The victim further alleged that her husband started harassing her to agree to his demands, and also realised that her husband's friends were into wife-swapping.
Unable to bear the torture, the victim filed a complaint against her husband with the Amruthahalli Police Station in Bengaluru.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, North-East, Laxmi Prasad, said, "The victim has complained that her husband shared their intimate photos with his friends. We have filed a case under Section 498A of IPC and for criminal intimidation. We will seek permission from the court to arrest him. The husband is a businessman in Mangaluru and he had arranged accommodation for her to live in Bengaluru. Further investigation is being carried out," he said.
