2 women arrested for allegedly murdering a man

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Cracking yet another murder case, the Sampigehalli police arrested two women for allegedly killing a man and dumping his body at a vacant site in the city.

On Monday, News Trail had reported regarding a decomposed body wrapped in a bedsheet found near Sampigehalli by the police. The police have identified the deceased as Shakeel Akhtar Saifi, 28, a native of Bihar and a resident of Bellahalli in Bengaluru.

The police later found that he was working as a flower decorator in an event management company and was staying with his wife and child here. According to the police, Shakeel was addicted to vices, and was even involved in an illicit affair.

His wife, Nazeera Khatun, 25, objected, after which he began torturing her. Unable to bear the harassment, Nazeera discussed this with her elder sister Kashmira Khatun, 27, who works as a domestic help.

When Shakeel returned home and went to bed after dinner, they strangled him to death and wrapped the body in a bedsheet. They waited for midnight and while it was raining heavily, they dumped the body near a drainage.

Following a missing complaint filed by Akhtar's brother, the police found the body after two days in a decomposing state.
