Cong condemns Centre for misusing govt officials

Mysuru, NT Bureau: Social welfare minister HC Mahadevappa, who is the Mysuru district in-charge minister, on Thursday accused the Union government of misusing All India Service officials for publicity of Union government programmes.

He also accused the Union government of not following protocol by not inviting state officials while celebrating Birsa Munda Jayanthi in Mysuru.

He alleged that more than 300 central officials participated in the Jan Jatiya Gaurav Diwas programme which was inaugurated by Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot to highlight the contributions of tribal communities in preserving the culture and traditions of the country.

The district administration and the state government did not receive information on the event, he claimed.
