Union mines secy Kanth Rao visits KGF, holds meet with officials

Kolar, NT Bureau: Union mines secretary Kanth Rao, duirng his visit to KGF, announced that the property of Bharat Gold Mines Limited( BGML) which was illegally encorached, wil be recovered and the court stays in this regard wil be vacated.

He also said that the Cyanide dumps will be auctioned shortly. He was speaking with the media after a high level review meeting with officials from the department of mines and forests, the municipality and BGML officials.

The BGML MD Farida Naik, Kolar DC Mr Akram Pasha and CMC commissioner Mr Pawan Kumar were present The BGML closed in 2001, and the government of India had introduced STBP ( Special Terminal Benefit Package) for the employees.
