Ban on meat sale tomorrow

Bengaluru: In view of Sadhu Vaswani Jayanti on Saturday, the Director of Animal Husbandry of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has announced a complete ban on animal sacrifices and the sale of meat in slaughterhouses in its extensive jurisdiction.

Sadhu Vaswani is renowned for his strong opposition to meat practice universally. ‘International Meatless Day’ is also celebrated on his birthday. Known as T L Vaswani, the educationist was known to spearhead the ‘Mira’ movement.
