I-T raids on home appliances stores

Bengaluru, NT Bureua: Continuing the operations in the city, the Income Tax (IT) officials on Thursday raided several franchises of a home appliances and service provider company here.

According to sources, at least 10 locations including Bannerghatta Road, HSR Layout, Jayanagar and Peenya were raided by the I-T officials who searched the offices and stores, most of which are con- nected to Gilma, a home appliances services provider, and collected several documents from the owners.

The details of the raids have not yet been shared by the officials. Gilma is one of the fastest growing home service providers in Bengaluru.

On Tuesday, the I-T sleuths had searched residences and offices belonging to industrialists at various locations here amid tax evasion allegations.
