BMRCL nod to Kannada film, serial shooting in Namma Metro
NT Correspondent
Bengaluru: Following the footsteps of Chennai and Delhi, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has authorised the filming of cinema and serials within the Namma metro.
While Tollywood and Bollywood have long incorporated the metro setting, it is now set to feature in Kannada movies and serials as well.
Despite the Kannada film industry's persistent requests for permission to shoot within the metro, such opportunities were previously unavailable.
However, BMRCL has now granted approval for movie filming under specific guidelines.
What do these guidelines entail? Prioritising Passenger Comfort: Filming activities must not disrupt commuters, and shooting is only allowed during offpeak hours.
Care must be taken to prevent any damage to the metro train or station, and the filming should align with the script's requirements.
Security measures
Ensuring the safety of both film crews and passengers during shooting sessions is mandatory. Additional police and home guards are assigned to provide necessary security
