BJP protests against Cong over cash seizure

Mysuru, NT Bureau: District BJP activists held a protest near Gandhi statue in the city on Monday protesting against the Congress following the seizure of huge amounts of cash by Income Tax department officials from the residences of Congress Rajya Sabha MP Dhiraj Prasad Sahu in Jharkhand.

The protesters shouted slogans against the Congress for promoting corruption in various states.

They accused the party of mobilising funds for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Former MLA Nagendra who addressed the gathering demanded that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah file complaints against BJP leaders if they too had unaccounted cash instead of making allegations against premier investigating agencies like the IT wing and the Enforcement Directorate(ED) over the issue of targeting Congress leaders.
