Bengaluru: The BBMP in collaboration with the Government of Karnataka has launched the "Door to Door Government, Cooperative in Service" programme in Bengaluru to address citizens' grievances.
Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar announced the initiative, stating that for 10 days starting from January 3, people from two to three assembly constituencies can submit their complaints.
This collaborative effort involves BBMP, BDA, BESCOM, BMTC, and the Revenue Department, working under a five-guarantee system.
Citizens are encouraged to participate by submitting their grievances during this period. DK Shivakumar emphasised that the programme aims to streamline the complaint process and reduce the number of daily applications.
The initiative includes a "Janaspandana" programme in districts and taluks, where government secretaries will address public grievances. The process involves registering complainants' names, accepting their grievances, and deploying officials to address problems.
DK Shivakumar also highlighted the importance of proper tax payment and outlined measures to address tax defaulters.
The programme, supported by various departments, underscores the government's commitment to efficient public service and grievance resolution.
