Bengaluru: Not ready to be dubbed ant i -Bengaluru, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Monday said a roadmap is being prepared for the planned and systematic growth of the city.
Speaking at a function organized here on Monday to distribute relief cheques of Rs one lakh among BPL families which lost their breadwinners to the pandemic, he said, “this is not the occasion to share information about the development of Bengaluru. But my government is committed to the comprehensive development of Bengaluru city”.
According to the CM, it has been decided to develop every ward in Bengaluru city. Efforts would be made to give a new look to the city by working out a roadmap for the planned growth of Bengaluru. Work will start on time and will be completed within the deadline. Lack of coordination was affecting proper implementation of projects and that would be set right by the government, he said. The CM also said the government has prepared a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for rebuilding and rejuvenating the Raja Kaluves across Bengaluru to solve the problem of water logging permanently. All bottlenecks would be removed and big buildings that have been constructed on Raja Kaluves would be demolished. The government seeks the co-operation of all political parties for the overall growth of Bengaluru, he added.
