Techie jumps to death from 21st floor of an apartment, suicide suspected

Bengaluru: A 24-year-old techie died after he jumped from the 21st floor of an apartment in Bellandur Police Station limits in the city on Tuesday.

According to the police, the incident took place around 8 am following which they reached the spot for investigation.

The deceased was identified as Sarang Kulkarni, hailing from Dharwad district. He was working as a software engineer for a private firm in Bengaluru.

Preliminary probe suggests that he had committed suicide. However the police are trying to ascertain the exact cause of his death.

"So far it has been revealed that for a couple of months, the deceased was irregular to his work. His parents had been residing in JP Nagar," an official said.

The police registered a case and have sent the body to St John's Hospital for a post-mortem analysis.
