Ashwath stunner: Wish Shivakumar becomes CM one day!

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Former minister and BJP MLA from Malleshwaram CN Ashwath Narayan left many flabbergasted when he remarked that he wished to see Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar become CM one day.

The Vokkaliga MLA made the comments at the mass grievance redressal programme 'Government at Your Doorstep', which made its way to Gandhinagar constituency on Tuesday.

The fifth edition of the programme took place at Shirur grounds in Sheshadripuram.

“The government is doing good work by clearing pavements for pedestrians, especially the elderly and students. He (Shivakumar) is doing good work. I wish that he becomes Chief Minister in the future,” Narayan said.

He also urged the Deputy CM to resolve issues such as housing for the poor, increase property tax collection and clear road encroachments.

Shivakumar and Narayan are rivals of sorts.

Both are Vokkaliga leaders. Ashwath was the Ramanagara district incharge minister in the previous BJP government. The two are known to take potshots at each other as well.
